How to Apply

Applying to our College is simple and can be completed in a few steps. This page contains information about how to apply both directly and through an agent.

Applying
  • You can apply directly via the Applicant Portal of our Application System:


    •    Foundation Certificate (International)

    •    Foundation Certificate (International Accelerated)

    •    Diploma (Business)

    •    Graduate Diploma (Management)

    •    Graduate Diploma (Marketing)

    •    English for Academic Purposes 1 & 2

    •    English for Academic Purposes 1

    •    General English

     

    To commence your application, you will need to register for an account in the Applicant Portal. Once registered, you can:


    •    Start and save an application
    •    Upload supporting documents
    •    Submit your application
    •    Accept your Offer of Admission
    •    Make payments for tuition and other fees


     If you would prefer to submit an application via a printed form instead of the online Applicant Portal, please download the appropriate application form below. Please send your completed PDF application form and supporting documentation via email to muc.admissions@massey.ac.nz


    •    Student Application Form (for applicants outside mainland China AND NOT applying through an education agent located in mainland China)
    •    Student Application Form (for applicants residing in mainland China OR applying through an education agent located in mainland China)

  • Eligible agents and representatives will be redirected to the Agent Portal of our Application System to submit your application.

     

    All of our registered agents and representatives will be registered as users of the Agent Portal.

     

    Agents can start, save and submit applications in the Agent Portal.

     

    To find an authorised Kaplan agent in your country, please download the Agent List.

  • As part of your application to our College, you MUST submit certified copies of your academic transcripts, qualifications, and official English translations. Certification is an essential step to ensure the authenticity of your documents and avoid delays in assessment.

    Every page of the document must contain all of the following elements:

    • An original stamp bearing the name of the person or organisation who verifies the document

    • A written statement in English to the effect of “I certify that this is a true copy of the original”

    • An original signature

    • The date of certification

    Agents who are representing the College have the authority to sight original documents and provide certified, electronic copies when submitting the application. Agent certification must comply with the certification requirements listed above.

     

    The following people can also certify documents:

    • A registered Kaplan education agent (acting on your behalf)

    • An authorised Kaplan or College staff member

    • A Justice of the Peace, Notary Public, or Consular Official

    • A Commissioner for Declarations or Affidavits

    • The registrar of the institution that issued the original document

    • A police officer or an authorised examining authority

  • If you are an international student aged under 18 years old, under the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021, you are required to stay in an approved homestay or with a designated caregiver approved by Massey University.

    At Massey University, all international students under the age of 18 years must live in Massey-approved accommodation. This includes:

    • homestay accommodation

    • designated caregiver accommodation

    • with their parents

      • homestay accommodation

      • designated caregiver accommodation

      • with their parents.

  • We will review your application and supporting documents. If you meet our admission requirements, you will receive an Offer of Admission.

  • Offer of admission​

    We will send an email to you (or your agent) with an Offer of Admission if you are successful. If you have received an offer from us, congratulations!

    The information in your Offer of Admission and acceptance is important, please read it carefully.

    Please note the following information for your packaged offer:

    • Program names

    • Duration of programs

    • Commencement dates

    • Tuition fees

    • Acceptance and payment deadlines

    • Terms and conditions

     

    If you have a conditional offer, the conditions are clearly outlined in your offer of admission. Conditions may include providing proof of English Language Proficiency, completion of academic qualifications, or provision of official documents (e.g. original or certified copies of your documents). It is important that you provide evidence of meeting these conditions as soon as possible, to avoid delays in progressing your enrolment and visa application.​

Accepting your offer 

How to accept your offer

See the acceptance process outlined below.

Step 1 – Offer of Admission

Log in to the Applicant Portal to accept your Offer of Admission. Make sure your personal details, especially your name, date of birth, and passport number, match exactly with the information in your passport. You will need to upload a scanned copy of both the personal ID page and signature page of your passport.

If you are working with an education agent, they may assist you in reviewing and completing this step to ensure everything is submitted correctly.

If you have a conditional offer, the conditions outlined in your Offer of Admissions must be fully met prior to acceptance (if any).

 

Step 2 – Payment of fees

Payment can be made in the Applicant Portal of the Application System via the College’s preferred online payment provider, Flywire. Flywire is a secure international payment platform method that supports multiple currencies and ensures faster processing times.

Step 3 – Student visa application preparation

If you are an international student, you will need to apply for a student visa to study in New Zealand. After accepting your offer and paying your tuition fees, you can begin preparing your student visa application. You may contact your nearest New Zealand embassy or representatives, or visit the Immigration New Zealand website to understand current visa requirements, documentation and processing times to be prepared ahead of time.

Apply for visa

After paying your fees, you can now lodge your student visa application to the Immigration New Zealand.

If applying via an agent, they will assist you with this process.

Overseas Representatives

Massey University College appoints agents to act as our official representatives abroad. An agent can help assist you with:

  • Admission requirements and choice of programs.

  • Processing and forwarding of the application, and acceptance and payment to the College

  • Visa application, travel, accommodation and pre-departure arrangements.
